greetings,

i recently upgraded from the s23 plus to the s25 ultra. i'm a music producer and i'm trying to get my joyo momix cab sound interface to work with my s25 ultra. i connect my sound interface to my phone via usb-c and when i try to record, it doesn't pick up the sound that i'm inputing from the pc to the phone. it's almost as if the s25 doesn't pick up the interface at all. my s23 never had this issue.

any audio engineers or music enthusiasts please help if you are having a similar issue.

Is Autoblocker on under settings which blocks usb connections.

As @usernotadev noted, if Auto Blocker is toggled on, that will block connections. Go to settings/security and privacy and toggle off auto blocker.

Also, two more possibilities other than the auto blocker. In the same menu where the Auto Blocker funciton is, click on "More security settings", check if the "Block USB connections while locked" is toggled on and may be need to be toggled off. That more than likely is not the issue, but could be for an instance if one hour + had passed while the device was locked. The other is in the developer mode, where in the "Default USB configuration", may need to be set to "Midi".

Go to settings/about phone/software information, then on the section with "Build number", just click on that 7 times to open developer mode (if it has not yet been opened). That will enable developer mode. Then back in settings going to the bottom, developer will be there, open that, scroll down to "USB debugging" and toggle that on, then down to the "Default USB configuration"  and open that, then change that to Midi and see if that works. Note, changing that to any type of USB data exchange will need to be changed again when connecting USB for like file transfers etc to the appropriate choice to function correctly.

Did these actions, suggested by the replies, fix your problem?

I changed phones also, from an S22 Ultra to S25 Plus and experiencing the same exact issue with my Momix Cab.

I followed all of suggested actions and the audio is still not recording via the interface.

Thank you

Turn your resolution down to HD+, and put all your battery trainers to sleep and use adaptive battery, for the best quality audio. A bass boost app helps. Just allow audio related apps to run in background and set all non audio related apps to background usage limits in Battery setting >put to sleep, so theyll still send notifications and receive updates but wont run balls out on battery power all day , watching listening....to everything you do and say
