Galaxy S25Hi, me again.
So after my post the other day, I switched to Basic battery protection mode. The one where it charges to 100%, then let's it drop to 95% before charging again.
Well, it didn't work. It charged to 100% and held it there. I can switch to Maximum protection and it immediately stops charging, but on basic (or adaptive as it hasn't learned my sleep habits yet) it just keeps it at 100% all night.
I will add that while I'm fairly certain I am using an official (from my S22U) charging brick, I'm not using a Samsung USB-C cable. I'm not sure how that could be the issue, or if it is, but I wanted to mention it at least. I also hadn't restarted my phone after changing the setting, but this morning before my restart I DID change it to Maximum and it immediately stopped charging. After my morning restart, (back on Basic) I plugged it back in and even though it was still at 100%, it started charging again.

I'm trying to not let this phones battery die like the rest of the Android lineup, so any ideas? The phone is less than two weeks old. Works flawlessly other than this.

Galaxy S25My adaptive hasn't learned my sleeping habits yet so it doesn't work at all - but even the basic doesn't limit the charging like it should.
I'm under 95% now so I'm gonna plug it in and see what it does now.

Galaxy S25I let it drop down to 94% and plugged it into a different charger - same thing.
Charged up to 100% and never stopped.
I guess if nobody has an idea here I'll reach out to Samsung support and see what they recommend.
