Galaxy S25Somebody had to have started them if you are getting them. These could be part of the text phishing scam going around. If you use Google message, go to the settings and turn on spam control and then mark every one that comes in as spam and they will go direct to the hidden spam folder. Do they have phone numbers attached and just the text is blank? Don't even open them, long press and tap the "spam and block" option.

Galaxy S25Well, you are using Samsung messages, that's your problem right there. Samsung is letting their app expire so they are not maintaining it, and you can expect more things to continue to go wrong or fail. When you delete them in Samsung messages, are you also deleting the trash afterward? I don't like Samsung messages, but if it was my only choice, I would use it. If it was the only one that worked properly I would use it. You don't have to use Google messages if you don't use RCS, you can use any other messaging app in the Play store.
You may not like Google messages, but in the very near future , that's going to be your only option, especially if you want to use RCS - or if you want your app to behave the way it's supposed to.
