Why did Samsung get rid of Samsung Messages

Why did they get rid of Samsung message. The customization was too tier! Now we have to deal with Googles messages. You can change the color of the bubbles BUT cannot customize like how you could in the past. It was one huge perk Samsung could do that iphone didn't. Now they can add we're stuck with Google. I almost left because of this one feature!!!!

That's all it takes for you to give up a device? A message app you don't like? It's a messaging app, I would think you'd want to be able to send, receive and read messages.  The fact that you can make one app prettier than the other is a perk, not a function.  Personally, I'm good with Google's chat "themes" - I don't need cats, dogs or teddy bears all over my text windows. The bottom line is, if you want RCS, you have to use Google.  If you don't want it, you can still obtain Samsung Messages from the Galaxy store.  But, let me ask you this, if the customization is important to you, where are you going to go?  Apple doesn't customize and other Android brands only have Google messages. So, it looks like anywhere you go, you will have a messaging app that works but doesn't look as pretty as you want it to.

Leave feedback (recommend features) to google. The more feedback from users, the more google will feel inclined to add more customization features to the message app.
