Whatsapp chat transfer issue

Anyone else struggling to transfer whatsaop chats from s24 ultra to s25 ultra?? It's ridiculous

From 5th Feb 2025 for 2 days I am trying but still I am unable to restore my chats from my Google Drive storage. Also I loss my data from internal storage. Still I am facing the restore issue. Try to solve the the problem and give me a good solution.

same here, got my s25u yesterday and was unable to restore the backup, at first also can't mirroring (the QR wont show) but now the mirroring issue kinda fixed, still need 2 phone for  mirroring

Recently I transfered data through smart switch.

Initially seems all data came so I handed over old phone to exchange.

In this s25 ultra mistakenly whatsapp unistalled and installed again and lost all data backups. Sadly no data backup I'm google because of local backups.

During unistall local backup deleted automatically 

Cannot able to restrain Data??? Now let me know is there any possible to get back all data of smartswitch given data ?????

Hello every body 20 hours trying to restore my whatsapp from google cloud, but at 99% it gives an error u “ unable to restore any masseges…..

i tryed a samsung Tablet, i could restore all my chats and media perfectly on the tablet.

then i tried to transfere the chats from whatsapp and at 99% it gives an error and told me to cancel or to try again.

i think the problem from the s25 ultra. The problem from the os android 15 , we need Samsung to take a look and fix it asap we our whatsapp msgs are not only for fun, we habe business related to them important archive etc..

now at this moment i am trying to copy watsapp folder from the tab to the phone  and i will see if it will works

It's not actually samsung but whatsapp and meta itself that has to fix with an update

Honestly, I had tried EVERYTHING since getting my S25+ on 1st Feb (chat transfer, google drive backup, variations of this manual file transfer). Everything else failed but following these steps worked a treat!! I'd been trying for ages every day to get it working and ended up locking myself out of whatsapp for hours at a time due to the validation time limits, I was carrying around two phones to still use whatsapp on my old phone!!

After doing this, my contacts were showing as phone numbers instead of saved names (those that were saved on my google account were showing as numbers, only those saved to my sim showed the name) but as someone else here suggested, I just re-saved one of the numbers and the rest synced up and showed correctly.
