I have a Samsung 25, and I want to connect it to USB to backup files/photos etc. When I connect the phone to the laptop via USB, the file transfer option doesn't come up. The phone does start charging.
I was able to back up my previous Samsung phone with this laptop and connector. I tried multiple USB connectors and also tried connecting to my desktop. There is no option for file transfer that comes up. I tried restarting the phone, turning on developer options, but nothing works.
Dollars to donuts it's the same problem I had when you taught me what I had to do to make my computer see the phone - Use a USB-C port or OTG adapter and the cable that came with the phone. They may also have to turn developer options on and set the default USB configuration.

When you swipe down the notification panel what does it say usb??

I did that already, but the USB connection menu won't come up with I plug the phone in to the laptop, and the computer doesn't recognize the phone being plugged in.
Im driving home at the moment when I get to my computer I'll see what I can find

Do you have auto blocker off (auto blocker must be off), and are you using the cable that came with the phone? Does your computer have a USB-C port to connect to,, or are youusing a regular USB port? If you have no USB-C port you need an adapter.

Have you fixed audio problems yet? Especially with phone and Audible? Any suggestions for settings or inexpensive speakers. I am worried about your fixing this audio but about to worry less about learing cure on another droid of OMG NOT AN APPLE!!!
