Galaxy S25My spouse and I both have the S25 (basic). Starting yesterday (12/3/25), after a full 100% charge, both our phones were dead with only normal use after about 3.5 hours. I charged mine all afternoon after this and with 5 hours of charging it only reached 70% full. Same for spouse, very slow charging and never got to full. We were able to charge them to full overnight, but battery life is dropping rapidly again today. We only had one app in common that updated the day before this happened, which we disabled, and the problem is still happening. The phone claims the battery is fine and should last for 14 hours or more, so it doesn't seem to be actively or correctly tracking the drop either. We are using battery saver, we have checked all our settings, nothing seems out of the ordinary in app power usage or changed settings. Help. These phones are less than a year old and this does not qualify as functional.

Galaxy S25Galaxy phones have an adaptive battery feature that uses machine learning to optimize battery consumption based on your usage.
After a major software update, this feature resets and needs to relearn your usage patterns. You may notice diminished battery life for 7-14 days while this process takes place.
In the meantime, have you followed the best practices after an update guide?
See the guide here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/Best-Practices-After-an-Update/ba-p/3200871?src=Shar...
You can also download Samsung's good guardians to re-optimize your device and turn on additional battery saving features.
Download Good Guardians here: https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.android.samsung.utilityapp
App booster re-optimizes your apps. This should be run after an update.
Memory Guardian cleans up memory on your device and can help alleviate certain performance issues.
Battery Guardian provides additional tools to preserve your battery life.
Hope this helps!

Galaxy S25I believe there was a software update about a week or a week and a half ago, but everything worked normally after that until yesterday. We did follow all the troubleshooting and best practice guides we could find last night hoping it would resolve the problem today. But in the 22 minutes since I posted this, my phone (sitting, screen off, on the desk next to me) has lost another 9% of its battery.

Galaxy S25If the battery drain persists beyond the 14 day relearning period, you can run diagnostics on the device by visiting the support tab of the members app.
If the diagnostic comes back clean and you still believe the battery drain is abnormal, you can visit a certified Samsung repair center to have the issue diagnosed by a certified technician.
