Spotify notification won't go away despite all notifications turned off

I just got the S25a week ago. This morning it updated to Android 15. Now there's a new notification for Spotify in the notification bar while it's playing that I don't want there. I have spent the better part of today trying every method the internet offers to make it go away and morning has worked. Notifications for Spotify are turned off in phone settings. All notifications are turned off in Spotify settings. I've tried many other options that don't work and some options aren't available to be probably because they are older options from older phones and Android software. I am completely at a loss as I've tried arrive 20 different "solutions". I think there's either a new bug with the new update or there's a new method that is not posted online yet as the update is brand new. Please someone help!

The device came with Android 15, FYI.  One UI 7.0 IS android 15, and that is what was installed on release.

Have you tried removing/reinstalling Spotify?

I forgot to mention that I did also try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Looks like I am confused on the Android 15 situation. I guess it was just a security update I got this morning. But up until this morning I have not had that Spotify notification. So it seems like the update had something to do with it. 

I've also restarted my phone many times after trying fixes and still nothing makes it go away.

If you long press it, are there options?  I believe (I don't have the new UI yet, so I don't know) that might be the now bar.  I'm pretty sure there's a way to change its location, but I'm not familiar enough with the way it works to offer a way to do that.  Might be in the Home Up or NavStar settings in GoodLock.  I don't blame you.  I wouldn't want it there either.  I can only suggest that if you do not use Spotify, that you uninstall the app.  It might, however, then be replaced with the music player.  Samsung is becoming notorious for adding "features" no one asked for or wants and not giving options to hide or get rid of them.

I have tried long pressing and swiping left or right and only swiping makes it go away until I turn the app back on then it's back again. I pulled down from the top on the right side which shows the menu with BT and flashlight etc just now and gave it a long press and this time it has the option to remove. But as soon as I hit play on Spotify the notification was back. 

I do use Spotify everyday while driving. Occasionally at home. I've been doing this for years without any notification displayed. Just started this morning after what was apparently just a security update. Evidently the phone came with Android 15 as another member pointed out to me.

Also, I haven't searched for "now bar" fixes about this and I've tried 2 so far. Looks like I'm going down another rabbit hole. But Thank you for telling me about that. I feel more hopeful. I will update if I find a solution

You helped me find the solution! Now bar was the words I needed.

Lock screen and AOD

Now Bar

Turn off media player (and a list of other apps you can turn off or on) 

I have spent most of my day at work trying to fix this then a couple hours since I got home.

I'm going to tag @Robin621k as she is more familiar than I am with the workings of the S25 and the new UI/OS and I am also interested in finding out, since the more I am learning about this update, the more I really don't want it.

Did you see my solution above that you helped me find. Key words made all the difference. It's actually a super easy fix when Google searching turn off now bar S25.
