Samsung Pass not working on my S25 Ultra

I switched from an S23 Ultra to the S25 Ultra a month ago, and I was counting on Samsung Pass to help login in all the apps I had installed.

Much to my disappointment though, I was never able to make it work.

Seems like the issue started when Samsung Pass got incorporated into the Wallet app. Despite having it as default for autofill, and with the same settings it had on the previous phone, it NEVER, EVER either suggests logins or asks to save them.

This is very frustrating, because I always relied on Samsung to keep my accounts details and I can't export them.

Now for each password I don't remember, I have to MANUALLY go open the wallet and check login details, which is unbearably frustrating.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wallet, and nothing changed (except I had to re-validate all of my credit cards. It just doesn't work anymore.

Just to be clear, I WILL NOT go through the hassle of a phone reset! It's just too much work and the so-called backup doesn't really back up everything, so every time I lose all my customizations, and I can't keep track of all of them.

Any fix for this?

Try this:  Go to settings/apps/Samsung Pass.  Open the app info and scroll down to storage.  Tap the "clear cache" and "clear data" icons on the bottom of the screen.  This will reset the app to the default configuration but WILL NOT delete your login information.  You should switch to another password manager, if for no other reason than the universality of being able to use them on any device.  Google Password Manager, Roboform, Last Pass, One Password.  All have an export feature, and all can be used on any device.  Google is especially useful because you can use it from the website without having to install it, should you need to log in somewhere that is not your own device.  If you ever decide to leave the Samsung universe, your passwords will be gone anyway.

I already tried clearing the cache, but no change.

I also tried using other password managers (Google, Microsoft and Bitwarden) but got the same result.

For apps that rely on browsers for authentication I get the suggestions for credentials, but not for those that have the login "embedded".

Something must have changed in the way they are handled: I noticed that if you want to add a login in Samsung pass you can choose between web address and app, so maybe they are treated differently and apps won't trigger the suggestion anymore?

Is there any other setting that might have an impact on this behaviour?

I'm sorry, I no longer use Samsung Pass since it is exclusive to Samsung Devices. I require something more universal, so I use Roboform (have been using it for years, Samsung Pass was an experiment).  From time to time, if I have stored a site or app password in Samsung Pass, it does pop up but otherwise it's Roboform or biometrics.

Well, yes of course, but what has this got to do with my question?
