SAMSUNG MESSAGES IS BETTER THAN GOOGLE MESSAGES

I need to be able to search Google messages for keywords without getting told "no result" when there are in fact hundreds if not thousands of results in my phone for these keywords. Users need to be able to search for messages and have the results be shown in chronological order not just relevance because it will give me results for a message search from messages over two to three years ago when I'm looking for a client that messaged me this past week. I run a business off of my phone, and this bug is costing me time and money. I cannot reliably find messages from clients, which is an unacceptable failure for a core messaging app. The clearing of the catch data fix only lasts a day or two sometimes even hours unfortunately. This is not a sustainable solution for users. These complaints are all over the internet and Google forums and nothing has been done to resolve these issues. This problem has been ongoing for months since I got my S25. I was previously on a Samsung device with Samsung Messages, which worked flawlessly. It is embarrassing that Google's app is a major downgrade. I've been a loyal Samsung customer for 15+ years. If this issue is not resolved within the month, I will be returning this phone and purchasing an iPhone, as I cannot continue to run my business on an unreliable platform. This is not what I want but what I will have to do if Google is not able to fix this swiftly. Thank you

This is a user-to-user tech support forum. No one here can provide direct assistance with error reporting and feature requests.

Send feedback to Google in the google messages app by tapping your profile picture in the top right > help & feedback > send feedback

This would be an issue to take up with Google, as Google is the developer of the Google Messaging app.

Samsung Messages can still be used and it can be obtained and installed using Samsung's Galaxy Store app on that device.

My Samsung app stopped receiving text messages. There was no pattern to it. I had even started threads and was getting no replies. I switched my default over to google messages (which is the lesser app in my opinion too) and all my messages from 2 weeks started flooding in! Two weeks! I have a small business myself and i had missed messages from clients. What changed with no warning to users????

As far as I'm aware, that isn't the case. Samsung Messages is at least very hard to find if it's still there at all.

Samsung messages is no longer going to be supported from what I understand? Like there won't be any more updates and users should switch to Google Messages. Maybe with more people going to the GMessages they might start adding features and fixing things?

I don't think just a massive influx of users to Google Messages will force changes in features.  Changes do not happen without feedback, so it's best to leave feedback with Google on what features users want to see.  I know people think that Google does not listen, but they certainly won't listen if people are not speaking up.

I have the same problem.

I need to search messages from one person, looking for a specific dollar amount, but there is "no result" when searching for $. Previous Samsung messaging (ie not google) worked fine.
