S25 ultra Messages Grouped/stacked notifications

Is this new in One UI 7?

When I get text notifications from multiple people they stack/group and displays the number to the right of the tile. And I need to click it for it to expand to see everything.

Remember on my s24 each text got their own tile.

I keep missing notifications from texts cause they are being grouped.

How can I disable this?

I figured out if you first turn a specific contact conversation to "bubble", then switch the notification setting for that conversation to "Priority" and then turn off bubble and turn back on "Show as pop-up" it will not be grouped! Kind of a lot of work to do it with every person and it's only for texts, but it's a start.

Hey! 😊 I’m not totally sure I got all the steps right — would you mind explaining the process a little more clearly? In particular, I’m not sure where exactly I’m supposed to turn off the bubble option and where to enable “Show as pop-up.” Thanks a lot!

Sure. First go to Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings and make the options set like I have mine on the screenshot. Then go to a message thread in Google Messages for whichever contact you are changing and click the 3 dots on the top right > Details > Notifications. To trigger the settings that you need to change you have to click "set this as a conversation" at the bottom. Then it backs you out and you can go back into the notification settings for the contact and make the changes. Once they are saved the next time you get a text from the contact it should be a completely separate notification instead of grouped and also placed at the top of the list so it's not mixed in somewhere else.

Can you please also detail how this is done for Whatsapp messages and for emails. I don't have the "Set this as a conversation" option. My phone is an S25 Ultra. It's extremely frustrating!

This needs to be fixed, I am completely missing notifications because it hardly looks like there are any behind the only visible one and I want the separated out

Just tap the notification if you can't see the number. If there are multiples it will break righr apart. If there are not, you will just see the one. If you cant see the number, change the color of your notifications in theme park.

Yes please fix. Make it v obvious that there are a group, or ask for confirmation when dismissing multiple. I've missed calendar meeting notifications cos of this
