Samsung should update the default camera algorithm on the S25 Ultra. At the moment, its image quality is noticeably worse than the S22 Ultra when using the default camera app, even though the Expert RAW app delivers excellent results on the S25 Ultra. Since most users rely on the default camera rather than Expert RAW, improving the default processing is essential. Competitors already offer better quality straight from their stock camera apps, so Samsung needs to address this urgently in the upcoming One UI 8.5 update. Please pass this message to Korea Headquarter.
I just posted about this exact same thing except with the basic model, not the ultra. I am absolutely disappointed in the camera quality on this phone.
I would open the Members app, then click Support at the bottom, then end feedback and send that is as a suggestion, Also, when the UI 8.5 arrives in the public beta, then users of the beta can address that in the beta communities.
I'm facing the exact same problem. I bought the phone to make quick shots of my art works (painting). On my old s10e the images came out a bit fuzzy, but the color rendering was excellent, almost as faithful as I got with my Canon R6 and custom made camera input profile. So I got the s25u to get sharper images, and they are (well too much over sharpened) But the colors and tone balance that come out of the camera is simply awful. It is somewhat better when turning off all the optimization and hdr options, but still. I wonder if they calibrated the camera correctly. I'm gonna do so myself and see if that makes any difference. But I am totally disappointed though. I thought that if I get a flagship model, I dont have to hack my way to a good result, but alas. Please samsung, at least add a 'faithful' or 'neutral' output option to the camera.
