I am unable to get far away to bring phone to nearest place to check battery. I do NOT game on this phone yet it gets hot. I have tried to hold the "volume down " & "power" but the phone will NOT bring up the options to clear cache. I regret being roped into buying this phone at this price as T-Mobile deceived me in their business dealings. I have been a long time Samsung user but never had problems until this Galaxy s25. Can anyone tell me why the menu to clear cache won't even come up?

Your screen shot does not show any instance of overheating, that's why you see no apps.  There is nothing above the threshold line.  Just because your phone feels warm/hot does not mean it's overheating.  The battery will heat with processor use, usually in one corner of the device, as that's where I understand the battery is situated.  If the screen on for an extended period of time (even if you are just scrolling SM), it will get very warm.  In most cases, if the phone is actually overheating, the phone will protect itself by slowing down, freezing, shutting down (it usually pops a notification that the phone is overheating).  Many times when it actually *is* overheating, you do not feel it, as the phone's sensors detect the heat internally and goes protective.  If it gets hot enough to cause burns, or starts melting the corner of your phone, that is cause for concern and should definitely be looked at.  If it just feels hotter than you think it should, it's probably nothing to be concerned about.  You can take protective measures yourself by simply turning the phone off until it cools down.

Ok, thanks. It had overheated once on the charger, turned itself off and stayed hot for hours. I have uninstalled my banking app that wouldn't work correctly and, I'm not sure if that app was the problem but it has seemed better since 🙏

There is nothing in a banking app that should cause overuse of the processor to the extent of heating the phone.  In another user's case it was, I believe, YouTube was the culprit working in the background.  You can check your battery usage to see which apps were working overtime in the background.  You might also try clearing the phone's cache partition.

It also could be an instance of where you were using the phone, and Google was doing its app updates, or some app was updating itself.

If it was/is happening frequently, it's definitely worth getting checked out.  If it was an isolated incident, I wouldn't worry too much.  If it continues to happen and you can't get to a service location, put in an error report and contact Samsung service, as they can either have you send the phone in to them or, for a fee, have them come to you.  It's best to put in your error report immediately after the incident.

You can also adjust the thermal threshold line down or up by 2, as im at bit worried why at 11am it was almost hot enough to cross the threshold

The time of day that heat is generated does not matter or factor in.  It is activity that causes heat, so it would depend on what they were doing at the time.  Was the ambient temperature too high?  Was the screen on?  Were apps working in the background/updating?  Were they playing a game or scrolling SM, or watching a video? When the phone is in use in any capacity, heat will be generated.  The amount of heat depends on what activities are going on.
