Does anyone have an issue where, during a new phone setup, the new phone clones the original phone's information, even though the email was not used on the new device?

If you are talking about text messages, that sounds like an issue with the Google messages app that I've heard of when setting up rcs. The first step is to make sure that RCS is turned off on the old phone.

I am currently experiencing this same problem. Some onw apparently has access to my account information, but once they so there is nothing that can be done, accept to change the account information by getting a whole new account from your provider. Also, get an FRP unlock

@useriM04QslYRM If you used Smart Switch to move information or asked your carrier to do it while you were in their shop, yes the email will be on the new device.
