Galaxy S25I am still trying to get used to the UI 7.0 navigation bar gestures commands specifically for using the back button or the minimize function to then close the app(s) as was on 6.1 and earlier. No matter which motion I choose, it minimizes the app. To close the app, I have to finger swipe up and briefly hold to make the apps show up minimized, then close them. Or if I want to close them directly, I have to hold finger on app and as I move upwards (without releasing) it will minimize until I get the haptic feedback. Then I can let go, it will be showing as minimized and then I can close it.
Now I am used to gesturing to the left from the right portion of the screen to work as the back button function. But closing apps is really cumbersome and inconvenient as opposed to when I could simply swipe up and then close them right off. Or maybe I am missing a setting choice?
Note to dev team: perhaps this can be added back in as a future update as allowing another choice to the current methods on the 7.0 UI
EDIT:
Such a dummy! I found the setting for the navigation bar. When I went into settings/display/navigation bar/more options, I much have had my finger on the screen each time, moving the screen quickly up, hiding that gesture motion choice. There are two with the one I want being the top choice swiping from the bottom and the other choosing "back" swiping form the sides.
Self-earned of the day award 😂

Galaxy S25I already have the APK version of Navistar in place for the UI 7.0. That works great for ridding of the navigation bars icons which I do not want. But this is completely different and there are no settings either in Navstar or in the navigation bar settings that allows what were previous gestures pre 7.0.

Galaxy S25This is the biggest duck up of all time, such an ease it was earlier, and mind you these gestures of left right stop working when keyboard is open thats the most annoying part. I never update my phone, I'm still using android 14 and UI6.1 which only got updated day before yesterday because my phone restarted.
Samsung must give us our old option back... 3 gestures from the bottom.
what's best about Samsung and android has always been the EASE OF USE, especially in using BACK BUTTON over iphone because in iphone to use final back button one has to make the thumb reach top left to tap on back arrow and FOR THAT ONLY REASON I NEVER SWITCHED TO IPHONE but I swear this has annoyed me like anything, I have been using Samsung for more than 15 years, SAMSUNG PLEASE DO NOT BETRAY MY TRUST. GIVE ME MY THREE GESTURES FROM THE BOTTOM! WHY!? Because I DON'T LIKE BUTTONS!
