Galaxy S25

Hi,

I'm a professional occasionally doing color sensitive work on-the-go on my phone. However, my Galaxy S25 Ultra's white balance in 'Natural' display mode is a little off. It would be fantastic if there could be an added setting (perhaps in Display Assistant from Good Lock) that would let professionals like myself with a high-end colorimeter and spectroradiometer get a better calibration on the phone. At the moment, I need to choose between using 'Vivid' with my calibrated D65 white point but inaccurate color saturation and luminance and 'Natural' with a less accurate white balance but better color luminance and saturation.

I agree with the decision that Natural should not have white balance options OOTB in the main OS, as I'm sure that many would immediately set it way too cold, hurting consistency in color reproduction between mobile displays.

An alternative, simpler (hidden) implementation, albeit less granular and not affecting red/green tint, would be to let us use 'Eye comfort shield' and allow us to set the slider to the left from the middle point to manually make it cooler.

I'd be happy to respond to any questions or to beta-test anything if that would be useful.

Thank you!

You can send feedback to the developers here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692

You can also try applying a color filter (or color correction) over the screen in accessibility settings.  You can adjust the opacity/transparency of the filter.  Go to settings/accessibility/Vision Enhancements. Go to settings/accessibility/ Vision Enhancements and experiment with the color filters and, if you find one that suits, set it as your default. Turn it on and off at will through the QP button. Add the QP button through the advanced settings in accessibility. This may or may not suit your needs, but it does not hurt to try it.

Thank you for the suggestion and pointing me in the direction where I can submit feedback to developers.

I've tried the color filter in the past as a workaround. Unfortunately, it's not granular enough to be usable. It starts at 20% opacity which is already much too strong. The settings are in 5% increments. For such an approach to work, we'd need to have around 0.1% increments and ideally be allowed to combine red, green, and blue simultaneously. I'll reach out via Members like you suggested. Thanks!
