My gallery is turning black tone when I open

When I opened my gallery in my ultra s25, the gallery screen turned black and when I closed it, it returned to its own color tone. All other applications color tone is fine.

your Samsung Galaxy S25's gallery is black, you can try these steps:

Check your display mode

Dark mode, Bedtime mode, or Visibility enhancements mode may be enabled. You can turn these off in your phone's Settings. 

Check for updates

Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for updates. 

Check your app permissions

Make sure the Gallery app has permission to access your photos and videos. You can do this in your phone's Settings. 

Restart your phone

Press and hold the Power button and Volume down button for 20 seconds. 

Check your camera

If your photos are dark or have spots, there may be a software issue with the camera app. 

If you're still having trouble, you can try searching for more specific information about your issue online. 

Additional information

If your phone is in Sleep mode, the screen will be black and white. 

If your phone's camera is taking photos with white lines, there may be a camera glitch. 

If your phone's screen is emitting light when it's supposed to be black, you can try enabling Extra Dim in the quick panel.

Thank you for the reply, but there is no use. The display mode and everything is fine. No updates. When I restarted my device, it worked completely fine for the first time. After that, it's back to normal. There's nothing wrong with the phone camera, all the gallary itself is showing in black tone.

Hello, AJ! Based on what you said, it sounds like a software problem.

Check for updates:
Go to settings > software update > check for updates

Try restarting your phone

Maybe a restart could solve the problem?

There are no software updates and I after I restarted my device, it worked completely fine for the fine time when I open it. After that, it is back again

I'm having this same issue. Restarting the phone restores it the correct colour tone for about 20 seconds and then back to grey scale/black tone.

I'm only seeing it when I try to edit the screenshot before downloading. If I download and then edit, it seems fine.

Not sure if this was figured out, but this happened to me too. When I got my new phone it automatically added a "routine" to turn "color correction" on when I opened my gallery app. Disable/delete or turn color correction down to low intensity
