I'm locked out of my phone and asking for a 4 digit number including 1 letter. I don't have diea about the pin. i contacted samsung technical support and told me to factory reset the phone but i can't lose my data. he asked me to send a feedback to the samsung members if there's an update to unlock the screen without factory data reset.
This is another one of those brand new user with only one post and I think it's a troll and they're trying to get a rise out of everyone. If it's not, I apologize, but then I have to ask, is it really your phone?
I don't understand how one forgets the pin to their phone. You have to enter it a couple of times a day if you haven't used it in a couple of hours, every morning when you wake up, every time you restart your device.
There is no other way to factory reset
Beware, when you factory reset through the recovery menu you will need the Samsung Account and Google account and passwords to set the phone up again. If you don't have access to any of those, it is now a brick.
