Location icon constantly keeps popping up

I have noticed that on this latest update the location icon keeps popping up in the status bar more than what it should be it didn't do that before this update is anyone experiencing the same issue

It is definitely Phone Services that's causing the issue. I tried to force stop and clear data and cache didn't make any difference. One thing I did notice is if you have location turned off and restart the phone it will show that it's looking for GPS one time on startup and then stop. If you have GPS turned on every 2-3 minutes Phone Services is looking for location. Everyone needs to send feedback and report it to Samsung. Hopefully they will get a fix out soon.

I posted everywhere including X about this issue. Clearly everyone is misunderstanding what the issue really is. I'm glad more and more people like you are starting to see the actual issue as not normal behavior and Phone Services should not be looking for location every 1 to 3mins.

Adding another post to fuel the fire, because this under no circumstances is not a bug. My battery has been cooking and my location icon has been triggered since I updated my one UI version a few days ago. 

Really hoping this gets addressed and treated with priority

Anyone else having their location icon show non stop? I have the S25+ and now my phone is using the GPS non stop which is draining my battery. It looks like Google play services and phone services are using it 24/7 now. I can't turn them off from sharing location either. Any fix for this?

The green location one, is a notification for an app using it. Just tap it and it will go away

Can that green icon go away, yes, but so far not for many and it only is seen in the quick panel pull down, not on the phone's status bar on the home screen. Tapping the green location icon does not go away unless (as it is supposed to) locations is toggled off in the quick panel settings. It is a privacy indicator made by Samsung that allows the user to see what apps are using the phone's location. Tapping on the green icon will show them.

Mine is on the main status bar right next to the horrible new battery icon. I don't have one in the quick panel. It is actually a decent feature, when working. Hopefully they will get it fixed sooner than later. I just got lucky on this round, lots of angry people.
