I like using the app timer so I dont doom scrolling for hours, I love that its very quick and easy. But im hoping samsung sees this.
Can you set a time frame when we can use the apps as well ?
I dont like the routine mode it still feels a bit clunky. But I still trying the routine out to be fair.

You can create a custom mode which you can either turn on automatically or manually.  You can add app use restrictions during the period of time that you want to restrict usage of those apps.  I never tried the app restriction, but I assume that when it's active it will not allow the apps you restrict to be opened. So if you wanted to restrict the usage of social media apps between bedtime and wake time, you would set the time frame for automatic activation and then select the apps you want restricted.  I think that "focus mode" may already be configured, but I deleted some of the preconfigured modes I had no interest in using, knowing that I could always recreate the mode if I needed it.  You can also turn the mode on manually in conjunction with your app timers - after your timer goes off to tell you when to leave the app, you could turn the mode on to further restrict access to the app.

I personally find Digital Wellbeing lacking. Stay Focused is my app of choice for the features you describe.

You can schedule specific time frames for blocking as well as a variety of other block conditions.

Be aware that some features, like strict mode, are paid features. I purchased lifetime access a few phones ago ($30 at the time, not sure what it is now.)

I consider it essential to keep myself accountable when it comes to screen time and this app helps me do that.

I have posted previously about how I would like to see Digital Wellbeing improved so that third party apps are not longer required.
