Check the phone’s IMEI/MEID and behaviour. If the device’s identifying numbers don’t match the carrier/box/receipt or you see weird duplicate activity (calls/texts for someone else, unexpected data/charges, odd battery/network behavior), the device may be cloned or spoofed.

If You Suspect Cloning;

1. Contact Your Carrier: Inform them of your concerns. They can check for unauthorized access and help secure your account. Possibly giving you a new Sim card if they suspect you have been cloned.

2. Run a Malware Scan: Use a reputable antivirus app to check for malware on your device.

3. Change Passwords: Update passwords for your important accounts, especially those linked to your phone number (Google & Samsung) .

4. Secure Your SIM: Consider setting up a PIN for your SIM card to prevent unauthorized access.

By being vigilant and recognizing these signs, you can better protect your Android phone from cloning and other security threats.

How can I lock out hackers. Are there any other settings in my phone? Or a good strong security app that doesn't require a credit card.
