Hi,

I have a Desktop Power Grommet  with USB Type-C, which charges my old phone but not the S25.

I don't know if 10W is not enough (I don't mind if it charges slowly). Even my phone doesn't detect the cable when I plug it in.

Here is the spec of the type-c input: 10W USB-C charging port on the top of the desk power strip. USB port features 2.1A Max.

My only option is to connect my phone to the AC outlet with an adaptor. I wish I could use the USB type-c directly to save space on my desk.

Thanks.

The S25 should be able to charge with ANY usb charger.  The base power for USB 1.0 is 5v .5a, which comes out to 2.5 watts, so should be working.  USB C is a slightly different animal, as it uses PD to determine what power can be sent, if your grommet is too old, it may be ignoring this request causing no charge to occur.  The grommet you linked has a USB A connection as well, does the phone charge when using that?

10 watts with that speed will take 2 to 3 hours max with slow speed

The S25, as I understand it needs a minimum of 25 watts to charge for standard charging and 45 watts for fast charging, anything else will probably charge it, but it would be a trickle charge and sometimes even a reverse charge.
