How can I transfer my call logs to the Google phone app from Samsung phone app?

I have am s25 ultra and would like to use Google's phone app instead how do I transfer my call logs over to Google phones app from Samsung's?

I made the same switch and the Samsung dialer call log shows up in the Google dialer. Calls made from the Google dialer after the switch appear in the Samsung dialer call log.

I'm talking about the previous ones not going forward. I checked and the call logs don't match up

My mistake. You're right, I didn't go back far enough in the log. Let me see what I can find.

I'm also missing the recent tab in the app so I can't even search my calls. Are u missing this too? I just updated the app to the latest version

That's an app change. The Recents tab was removed. Close and reopen the app. Call history will show up under Home.

It looks like you'll have to use a third-party app to transfer the call log. SMS Backup & Restore lets you back up your call history and then restore it.

Ok I backed it up to Google drive now what do I do

Now, you open SMS backup & restore and restore the log.  It should transfer to your new call app. But, here's the thing.  Since you can't actually uninstall the native dialer, the call log will still be accessible by opening it up.  You will likely have to switch it to the default temporarily in order to do that.  Also, the log from SMS backup and restore is easily readable in the SMS b&r app, or a text or pdf reader, depending on which format you elected to save it in.
