I don't know if the problems are linked or separate. My S25 Ultra will occasionally freeze up.  The touch screen will not respond. If I press the power button, it will return to the lock screen, and I can log back in, but it still doesn't respond. I can't sweep down from the top to access any menus. I can press and hold the power and volume up buttons and either power off or restart the phone. Once it restarts, everything works normally.

The other problem is that the phone randomly buffers. I have 4 blue squares in the center of the screen that rotate around in light blue and darker blue shades for several seconds, and then, the normal functions return.

Hello GopherM47, welcome to the Samsung Community! I understand your concerns with your device freezing and buffering. There are a couple of troubleshooting steps that we can try to resolve the issue. First, verify that your device up to the latest software update. We also recommend running the diagnostics in the Members app, under the Support tab. Clear your device cache partition by powering off your device, press the power and volume up button together at the same time, once the Samsung logo appears then release the power button, select Clear Cache Partition from the menu and reboot your device as normal. Boot your device in Safe Mode to see if a third party app is causing the issue: Touch and hold Power off until the Safe mode icon is displayed, Tap Safe mode to start your device in Safe mode. If you've entered Safe mode successfully, you'll see “Safe mode” displayed at the bottom of the screen. If the issues is not happening in Safe Mode then you would need to delete any recent apps. To exit safe mode simply reboot your device as normal.

Perform a factory data reset, please be sure to back up your device before performing the reset: Perform a factory reset on your Galaxy phone or tablet

If the issue persists after performing the steps, you can Private Message any moderator by selecting and clicking on the chat option with your full model and serial number, or you can proceed with the self service option here https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/

Try to restart the phone..
And then go to:
1. Settings
2. Tap "Device Care"
3. Tap "Optimized Now"

Hope this help..

Those are among the first things I did, and they didn't correct the issue.

Some of the recommended fixes don't appear to be included in the latest One UI 8 update. I managed to clear the cache, and the problem has gone away.

1. Pressing the Power and Volume Up buttons doesn't do anything.

2. Under the "Device Care" tab, "Auto Optimization" is the only option provided.

I have a Samsung s23 Ultra and experience the same problem. It concerns me that the same problem still exist in s25 Ultra. I was thinking about buying a new one but I saw that the same freezing problem is still there. I've use Samsung since 2008 and this is the first time I've ever remember a phone locking up. This needs to be addressed.

Has anyone had an issue with their phone restarting after opening the camera app? It started happening during the one ui 8 beta program. Thought it would stop when the stable version dropped but it's still happening.

No, haven't experienced this issue, either on beta or stable.

Have you followed the best practices after an update guide? Wiping device cache in particular.
https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/Best-Practices-After-an-Update/ba-p/3200871?src=Shar...

Have you cleared the camera app cache? Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear Cache

Have you used Good Guardians to re-optimize your apps and clean memory?

If the issue persists after all these steps, consider backing up data and performing a factory reset.
