Galaxy S25Hello Samsung Community,
I am using a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra USA unlocked variant, model SM-S928U1, purchased in the United States. I am currently using this device in India with a Jio 5G SIM, but 5G connectivity is not working.
Device and network details:
Model: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra SM-S928U1
Variant: USA unlocked
Current location: India
Network provider: Jio 5G
SIM status: Active Jio 5G SIM (5G works on other compatible phones)
Software: Updated to the latest available firmware
Even in confirmed Jio 5G coverage areas, the phone only connects to 4G LTE. There is also no option to enable 5G in the mobile network settings.
I would appreciate clarification on the following points:
Does the SM-S928U1 USA variant support the Indian 5G bands used by Jio, specifically n28 and n78?
Is this limitation due to hardware band incompatibility or a CSC or region based software restriction?
Is there any plan to enable 5G support in India through a future software update for this model?
Are there any officially recommended solutions or workarounds?
I would be grateful for guidance from Samsung support or community members who have experience with this model.
Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
Ashish

Galaxy S25If you plan to stay in India long-term with an S25 Ultra, buying the India-specific model or ensuring your current phone is the regional variant is best for full 5G functionality. If you have a US model, keep an eye out for software updates from Samsung, but be prepared that carrier band limitations might persist without CSC changes.

Galaxy S25@mukultayal NO, I reached out to service center also they just suggested to change the operator to airtel and check, I haven't tested airtel yet let's see if that works,
