Galaxy S25

Hi everybody, I've recently purchased a Galaxy S25 FE and I have a problem with it. There are three dots flashing when I'm on a call, even when it's on speaker or when I'm on a video call. Apparently it is the proximity sensor, checking if the phone is near my face or in my pocket to prevent accidental touches. The problem is that it's just too visible that I can't stand it anymore. I put a GIF file for you to see what I'm talking about. It ruins the feeling of having a new phone, and it's annoying when I'm talking to someone and I see three bright vertically aligned dots on their forehead or in their hair. Is it really normal for the sensor in an S25 FE to be this bright and visible?

Hello hn1980, welcome to the Samsung Community. I understand your concerns with your device having three blinking lights on your screen while on a call. The three blinking lights on the screen is from the proximity sensor, this is completely normal and is operating as design.

Hello bhavy, thank you for your feedback. There is no solution to the proximity sensor, due to it working as design. If you are holding the phone to your ear while on a call, the screen will turn off to prevent unintentional touches. A white light will blink at the top of the screen when the proximity sensor is active. When the proximity sensor is in use, such as when you are on a call, it is possible to see a small light blinking or a flickering pixel near the top of the display.

Communication apps such as Hangouts and WhatsApp may also enable the proximity sensor, and cause the blinking light to appear.

If you have lines on your display that that could be stuck or dead pixels. Are they only visible while you are on a call? If they are visible in safe mode (Booting your Samsung Galaxy into Safe mode | Samsung CA) and after a factory data reset (https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002030) then I would recommend that you have a certified technician take a look at your device: Samsung walk-in service center or you can schedule a repair service online.

I have done a factory reset and have waited 1 month from the beginning of the report and now the answer is that it is normal, but I think it is annoying when we video call or whatsapp call while looking at the screen, but not all have the same problem that make this is manufacturing defect or sometihng
