I just upgraded from an S22+ to an S25+.  The staff member at the Verizon Wireless store did the transfer for me.  This is at least the third Samsung that I've bought from Verizon.  After conducting extensive research, I changed all the necessary and suggested settings in Notifications and Battary, and cleared the cache settings, both general and app-specific.  There are probably a couple other things that I've forgotten.  I'm at my wits' end.

Go to settings, notifications, advanced settings, turn on Manage notification categories.

Now you can set tones for individual apps.

Thank you.  Doing what you suggested, along with changing a battery setting, seems to have helped at least somewhat.

I've done exactly that and the option is not there. I am using the S25 Ultra
