Galaxy 25+ No sound notification on text messages.

I am not getting text message notification sounds. I have made sure all the settings are correct and still nothing. I am extremly disappointed in this new Galaxy and the google messaging.

How can I get the text message sounds?

Go to Settings, Notifications, app notifications, toggle apps you want to get notifications., then choose sound, or not etc.

This is what worked for me. If I turn Bluetooth off on my Samsung Galaxy s25 Ultra phone, then I hear the notification sound. Since I need Bluetooth on all the time, (to stay connected to my Google Pixel Watch), I changed the Bluetooth settings on my phone.  Settings > Connections > Bluetooth. I tapped the gear by the Pixel Watch, then open, then under Manage Phone Notifications set Mute Phone Calls to OFF. Also,  set Mute Notifications on Phone to OFF.

You may need to click the gear by your paired device then toggle Notifications OFF.

This way:

Calls and music can still go through Bluetooth.

Text message notifications will stay on your phone speaker.

Having the same issue... Glad I'm not the only one! Any tips if I have no devices connected via Bluetooth? Brand new phone

This didn't resolve the issue for me in Google Messages. I've tried every single thing posted. I get sound notifications for Signal messages.

I had the same issue with my S25 Ultra.  All you have to do, is turn off Bluetooth.  Then notification sound will work again!

That's not a solution for me since I need Bluetooth to always be on for my Galaxy watch and Android Auto in my car.

I am having the same issue. I keep my Polycom Bluetooth headset connected for when I have a call, but I don't wear it all the time, and my notifications by default go thru the Bluetooth connection and not thru the phone. I wish there was a better solution.
