Focus enhancer issue

Has anyone else noticed an issue with there focus enhancer? If I have it on and take a close(ish) photo of anything it completely blurs out the right side of the photo and looks terrible!! If I turn it off everything is perfect 👌 the lens is clean, I know that. Maybe it's an user error? Let me know 🙏

The focus enchancer blurs out the background of the object or person. It's no issue and that's how it makes the image look "clean" or standing out.
