Galaxy S25@ShelbyShadow If you specify a carrier when you buy from Samsung, you will get a carrier locked phone. To carrier unlock it, you would need to contact that carrier.
If you specifically bought an unlocked phone from Samsung without specifying a carrier, your phone is unlocked.
Go to phone settings -> About phone and look at the model number. If it ends in "U" it is a carrier phone. If it ends in "U1" it is an unlocked phone.
BTW, carrier unlocking a phone does not change it from a "U" to a "U1" model.
