Cannot connect Gear S2 to S25+

Hey, I just upgraded to s25+ from s22+ and my Gear S2 smartwatch won't connect. Everything l found while searching the phone says you've just decided not to support it? Why? How did your engineers make a new smartphone dumber and with less abilities than the one made 3 years ago?

It's not compatible. Samsung ended support for that watch starting with the S24.

Correct. But I'd like to know from Samsung, why? Not like it's impossible, or even difficult.
