Can't mute my phone anymore after One ui 8 update

This morning my Samsung Galaxy s25 automatically updated to UI 8.0, right now seems like my side button cannot mute my phone only can turn on the volume or vibration

Anybody has the same issue and why it's like this?

I don't disagree that sometimes one must quickly mute their phones, but in those instances, vibrate is just as silent as mute, and there are modes (theater, sleep, work) that will quickly do that.

They are different.  In "mute" you can see notifications on your screen, such as a phone call or text message.  In "do not disturb" the screen is inactive.  I need my phone on mute at work so I can see my phone light up and not disturb my coworkers with a ding or BRZZZZT.  Now I have to take an extra step to add the "mute" button to my home screen.

Pull down quick tiles screen and tap the volume widget on the right side that will silence ring tones and notifications then tap again it will turn off vibrate

I have an app called floating mut button i downloaded from fdroid it works great and u can place the button anywhere on the screen and it has feature as well this app is real cool
