Why have my calendar started adding reminders for birthdays?

You likely have a connected Calendar, such as a Facebook or Google Calendar.

You can show/hide your linked calendars in Samsung Calendar by opening the hamburger menu (3 lines, top left) and checking/unchecked the desired calendars in various categories.

I want to see the birthdays on my calendar. I have multiple copies, one with a week reminder.

1. Open the Calendar app
2. Click the 3 line menu in top left
3. Under "My phone", turn off "Contacts' important dates"
