Galaxy S25Do you have a carrier device? It could be that they actually included some advertising in their update. If you are using dynamic wallpaper, it will frequently change wallpapers (that's why it's dynamic) and it's possible that these characters were included in the dynamic pack you chose. Is it just the characters or do the images also have the Wicked imprint on them? Is it just your lock screen wallpaper that keeps changing or the home screen, too? Dynamic wallpapers are only applicable to the lock screen.

Galaxy S25Neither your phone system nor T-Mo knows what kind of case you have on to predict matching your wallpaper to it. Dynamic wallpaper is only supposed to change the lock screen wallpapers, not the home screen - that would be totally distracting. It could very well be marketing, as the carriers are allowed to add apps and other things they get paid to think users are interested in. That being said, I have not known T-Mo to do this with any frequency. My carrier is T-Mo, as is my sister's. I have a factory unlocked phone, and she has a carrier branded phone. I have not seen, nor heard her complain, about getting unwanted apps on her phone. That does not mean it doesn't happen.
Download Good Lock and the Nice Catch module and turn on. Go to the settings and turn on detect commercials and detect settings changes. This might help determine which app is causing this, so you can uninstall or disable it (no guarantee on this one).
You can also try going to your phone settings/home screen and lock the home screen layout - this is only supposed to prevent items from moving around accidentally, but might included the changing of the wallpaper.
You can also try, just for easily reverting, downloading Home Up and making sure the backup and restore feature is on for the home screen. I think it's on by default, but check. This will back up your home screen the way you prefer it, so if it changes (by accident or design) and you want to get it back without doing somersaults, you can just hit restore. This includes the wallpaper. You can set it to back up automatically or manually only. It only keeps up to 20 backups, so on auto it is likely to save a copy of the unwanted wallpaper.
if you can't find the source of the changes with these suggestions, the next time you find your wallpaper has changed, put in an error report. They will likely find the culprit in your logs.
