I got my 1st S25 Ultra in March 2025 via pre-order from Samsung directly. It lasted until May 2025 when it all of a sudden just went black! It would not turn on or charge. Neither Verizon or Smsung could help. Asurion sod it was a warranty issue since it wasn't physically damaged. After lot of torture, Verizon sent me a refurbished replacement phone for my brand new 2mo phone. That replacement phone stopped charging after 2 weeks. But charged wireless. Verizon then sent me 3 more replacement phones before I contacted corporate and they finally sent me a brand new sealed in the box S25 Ultra in July 2025. This 2nd brand new phone lasted from July 3 until today August 17, 2025. I contacted Samsung and they told me to take it to one of their repair places? Is there a point? There's nothing physically wrong with it. Why doe this keep happening??? Is there something wrong with this particular model? I'm so annoyed that I'm considering getting an iPhone. This phone is currently charging on a wireless charger. Can someone please help!!! Thank you!!

Could be your wired charger. What are you using?

I'm using a 25w wall charger (superfast). This 2nd new phone stopped working when I plugged it into the car charger (which I've used many times before).

You may want to try using a different one. Anker and Ugreen are reliable third-party brands that are often on sale at Amazon.

Thanks! Will try. But right now I need my phone to charge. I just came out of a Samsung authorized repair and they told me it's a Samsung issue and my charging ports are damaged. He said this has been an ongoing issue happening a lot with this  phone. He said it's nothing I did. It's a manufacturer defect and he could not replace the charging port because it's on backorder (because of this issue). I called other Samsung repair places and they all said they have to back order it. So then Samsung told me to mail my phone into the manufacturer for them to fix it. But I will be without a phone for up to 2 weeks and there's no guarantee that they can fix. They said in that case they will give me a refund.  Honestly, I'm really considering getting an iPhone. This is totally nuts! Samsung needs to recall this model and do better!

I also experienced this exact same issue. The pins in my port where corroded. The person at the Ubreakit store told me it was humidity that caused the damage.

I was the 3rd person that day that had the same exact problem. The person in line in front of had the same exact issue. It wasn't covered under warranty, I had to pay $99 out of pocket to replace the charging port. This was in July after a month of extremely high humidity.

I had to cancel my first appointment because they didn't have the part in stock.

Yes, it is an issue. I had the same exact thing happen to my phone. The pins in my charging port were corroded. The guy at Ubreakit said it was the humidity that did this to my S25uU. This was in July after almost a solid month of very high humidity. He said that I was the 3rd today with the very same issue. This was my 2nd time trying to get it fixed, first appointment I had to cancel because the part wasn't in stock. I had to wait an extra week for the part to be in stock. In the meantime while I waited for the part to be in stock, I used wireless charging to charge my phone.

Ps, I have taken to using a plug to put into my charging port to ensure that it doesn't happen again. I don't know if the new port that was installed was of a higher quality than the one that was replaced.

Strange, I never had that issue. Got the S25U on February 9th, 2 days after retail launch.

I know others who have this phone and don't have this issues. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm using all the same chargers as my family. This never happened with any of my other Samsung phones (I've had models dating back to the Note 4).

I don't know where you live, but NYC for a solid month had crazy humidity levels. Going in and out of air-conditioning caused the corrosion in my port. I don't know what vendor Samsung got those ports from, but they definitely were inferior quality. There are a few posts in this community with the same issue, all coming at roughly the same time with same exact problem. There are posts on Reddit too.

I had to pay $99 to get it replaced because it wasn't covered under warranty. I couldn't prove that it was caused because it was a hunk of junk that they put in on the assembly line.
