Galaxy S25Hello all
New here, I bought a samsung s25 ultra. I'm transferring everything over but can't get discover mobile or voya retire to work. The app just boots and says there's a problem. I thought it was i forgot my login but my old s22 and the browser log in no problem. I tried uninstalling the apps, clearing data and caches, making sure the phone is updated, allowing all permissions. Called discover tech support and samsung tech support but nobody can tell me why they aren't working. Chase, citi, vanguard etc all work no problem. Samsung suggested I bring it to a service center but that seems extreme for this. Seems like firmware or authenticator problems I'm not sure.
Any advice or similar issues with anyone else?

Galaxy S25See if that helps. If that doesn't, go back again in Security and privacy, and click "App protection" this time. Then if it is on, toggle that off.

Galaxy S25I'm not seeing any of the screens you're describing after google account security, it just has me select my account and it's passwords, your devices, sign in recovery, safe browsing, and recent activity. The closest I saw was autoblocker on another screen but it didn't work when toggled.

Galaxy S25That is quite a few. In my suggestion, it was a stab in the dark tbh, as most people save their login info with Google or even Samsung. I have a Discover account and used the app on my phone (I never use any financial apps on my phone regardless) and I was able to login to the app with no issues.
Having said that, what @realaud asked is a very valid question and I would address that first off. Using a VPN, my experiences have been financial institutions will block logins that do not have consistent IP addresses, regardless of the phone ID being the same. The easiest first try is to uninstall Discover & voya retire form your S22 as maybe they do not permit two devices having the app at the same time (I am just guessing here).
If those are not the issues, then my only suggestion would be to reset the phone, and ONLY use one google account to start with (the one that is primary preferably). Once the phone is loaded with your Google/Samsung info, then try placing the the two apps on your device and see if they then work. If they do work, then try reloading the previous backup minus those two apps (you can select which and which do not get reinstalled).
As far as resetting the phone, go to Settings/General management/Reset/Factory data reset, then hit the "Reset" button.

Galaxy S25I found the solution, i factory reset the old phone as having those sessions and device still registered was not allowing me to login on the new phone apps. Never had that problem before or with any other banking apps. Thanks for the suggestions!

Galaxy S25It might not be that you had the apps on both devices, but you did not log out of the apps on the old device.

Galaxy S25Well I guess I spoke to soon. It worked the day I responded but discover stopped working again. Samsung and discover can't seem to tell me what the issue is with the app
