I have 2 Samsung Ultra s25 that are identical and were purchased on the same day when released. When I get any google message from an Apple device with a video attached, the video and sound plays with no issues. Once downloaded, the video plays but no sound. "Can't play audio. Audio codec not supported" shows up while video plays. The video format is HVEC 30 fps 1440x1920 7.10mb. My other Samsung Ultra s25 plays the video and sound. Both phones have all updates installed. If I open the downloaded video in Google Files the sound works just like in Google messenger. If I send the video from the phone that will play sound to my phone, then the file plays like it should.
Upload the video to Google My Drive or from Google one won't play sound .
My Files version 15.2.02.8 won't play sound. Playing from Gallery won't play sound. Playing from Video Player won't play sound. This isn't a major issue but one that's is confusing on why my other phone doesn't have this problem.
