Hey everyone,

I wanted to share something different today — not a problem, but a perspective.
I recently started using my Samsung (Xiaomi 15 Ultra-inspired layout) for photography more intentionally, not just quick shots. Here's the twist: instead of focusing only on new features or updates, I started limiting myself creatively  manual focus only, max 3 shots per scene, and no edits.

Surprisingly, this made the camera feel more like a DSLR experience less about tech, more about timing, framing, emotion. The image quality on Samsung is already great, but this mindset shift brought the joy of photography back for me.

Have any of you tried something like this? Maybe using your phone as a creative challenge tool instead of just a capture device?

Would love to hear if you’ve ever tried limiting yourself to spark creativity or if you have small tricks that made a big difference.

Thanks for reading! Not a bug, not a rant just wanted to share a fun creative discovery

I've always been a camera freak since 1965' when Father gave me a pretty cool, very simple German camera. You guessed at every setting being 2 weeks from now, is when slides are sent back from NY to Minnesota. Now study what worked.

So the other evening having a draft at local pub and typically dim lighting, full manual mode from film speed & shutter speed, & manual focus is quite unique on the Note20Ultra in pro mode to share bicycle tour in our little village to friend on his way on his bike.

I just spent a solid 2 months restoring this found dumpster Schwinn not rideable to better than new adding cooler type saddle bags for grocery tour.

Then our little famous bridge over the river. Had to brighten this view just a tad. Also taken in nanual mode at Dusk.
