AOD turns of for a few hours

My aod turns off for several hours in the middle of the night. I don't have it on a routine or scheduled times. I have aod set at always show. Tried clearing cache, clearing cache partition with no remedy. 

Is this a One UI 8 bug?

Did a little digging!

Try enabling Stay Awake in Developer options.

Settings > about phone > software info > tap build number repeatedly until developer mode is enabled

THEN

Settings > developer options > stay awake > ON

I don't have any power saving on for battery.... thanks for the input! Will try different suggestions

I think i found the issue! In Battery Guardian, a bedtime/sleep mode was turned on. I switched it off so I'll see tonight!

That would likely be the cause.  You must have turned that on at some point,

No, I never initiated it so I think it was auto set

I don't think it's an automatic setting.  I have battery guardian downloaded but all those settings are off.  Now, I installed the app quite a long time ago, so it could be that I immediately turned all the settings off because my battery does just fine without being guarded.  In any case, you found the problem and now that you've turned it off, you should have no problem with the AOD staying on all night.
