Galaxy S24Make sure Do Not Disturb is OFF.
Notification volume is separate from ringer volume, media volume, etc.
Check the expanded volume panel to make sure notification volume is turned up. To open the expanded volume panel, press a volume key to bring up the volume slider. Then tap the 3 dots at the top of the slider.
Hope this helps!

Galaxy S24Make sure the volume slider for notification sounds is all the way up - or at least at 90%. With the OneUI7 update, somehow the sounds got lowered - probably to appease the general public who don't want to hear everyone's notifcation sounds at full volume.. Sounds I used to have at about 30% can no longer be heard at that volume. Until I put the volume sliders all the way up, I couldn't hear the notification sounds. Even at the volume all the way up, sounds (like the phone ringer and the notification beep that my watch was fully charged), that I could hear across my apartment, were no longer perceptible when I was not in the same room with the phone. Many people have complained about this, but the situation did not improve with OneUI8. Eventually, I will send feedback, but I was waiting to see if it was just me, or if everyone noticed the difference.
