I've been keeping documents on my phone for a very, very long time and update them periodically from my hard drive without a bit of trouble.   However, since the latest update (S921USQU4CYI9) on Sep 25, 2025, I've been unable to do it.  When my phone is plugged into the computer, the computer reads, "This folder is empty".  This make no sense to me.

It sounds like the cause of your problem is Auto Blocker which improves the security on your phone. One of the features of Auto Blocker is the prevention of data and commands to go through the phone's USB port. You will need to temporarily turn Auto Blocker off when you are going to sync documents with your computer. Go to Settings > Security and privacy > Auto Blocker, which you can simply toogle off. Don't forget to re-enable Auto Blocker when you are finished with your documents, you definitely want its enhanced security features enabled.

Thanks for responding.  However, your solution did not fix the problem.  My computer knows the phone is connected.  But it still reads, "This file folder is empty".  Any other suggestions?

You had the same folder empty message on your computer with Auto Blocker disabled on your phone? What operating system is your computer using? Have you tried using a different USB cable and, if available, a different USB port on your computer? With Auto Blocker temporarily disabled, your phone's documents should be visible on your computer. Are you sure that you are accessing the correct folder path from the computer? Can you see any files in any of your phone's folders from your computer?

Yes, I had the same "This file folder is empty" message on my computer with auto blocker disabled.  Yes, I tried using a different USB cable and port.  No, I cannot see any files in any of my phone's folders from the computer.

I have been transferring files like this for many, many, years without a hiccup.  My problem started after I downloaded the latest phone update Sept 25th.  So my gut is telling me that had something to do with it.

I use these files almost daily, so it's imperative this issue gets solved.

Appreciate the help.
