Try turning the volume all the way up on those sliders.  Something happened with the volume after OneUI7 that appears to lower the maximum volume on everything, even if you have the slider all the way up.  Sounds I used to keep to a level of about 1/3 I would no longer hear.  Once I turned the volume all the way up, I could hear them again.  It appears that anything lower than 90% may as well be silent.

Seems like it. There's a disconnect somewhere. I turned the volume all the way up and had a heck of a time apologizing in every Zoom meeting I had today ๐Ÿ˜‚. There's a reason why we have a volume button. And if it's not working, Samsung should be trying to fix it instead of giving a workaround solution. I hope this is fixed soon.

You can create a routine that will lower your notification and system volume when you are on a zoom meeting.  Set the trigger that when zoom is open, volume level on notifications and system will be at a level where either only you can hear it  or silent.

 

If: (app opened = zoom)

then:  Volume: notifications  0%, system 0%.

When zoom closes volume will return to normal and you don't even have to think about it.  You can make it a mode or a routine.

Sorry I should have specified. Zoom meetings on my work computer, not phone. If I mute my phone during all these meetings, I would not remember to unmute them later on which is why I keep the volume a bit lower. So that others in the Zoom meeting would not hear if I get a notification on my phone. I hope that makes sense.

It does make sense.  I would go with a manually started mode. You can turn the mode on when you are on your meeting and turn it off when you are off.  An icon will be visible on your status bar when the mode is active, so it would be a reminder that you have the mode active and remember to turn it off.  After a while it will become habit to turn it on and off.

Nope. That's only if the meetings are on a daily basis at the same time. Nope, I'm in IT We have daily meetings and whenever required, besides the on the spur Teams calls. I appreciate all your suggestions, but they are just workarounds, not a solution. Sorry, that's just a fact. I wish someone would come up with a solution. Or do I have to wait until the next update is pushed through?

Have you sent feedback?  A mode started manually would not require a meeting schedule.  You can manually start a mode at any time it's necessary to lower your sounds.  I understand not wanting to use a mode or routine with a scheduled component.  But manually activating is actually a thing. It becomes habit to turn it on and off when needed after you've used it a few times.  A fix can only be done by the Samsung developers, and for them to fix it, they have to be aware, and to be aware, people have to send feedback through the feedback link. 

 

Workarounds work when someone actually wants to use them, rather than waiting around for Samsung to maybe, someday return the sound level to something discernable other than by dogs and other small animals.  After all, the whole point of having the sound sliders is so a person can set their own desired sound levels, not Samsung's idea of a maximum volume.

Yep, that's true. No I haven't yet sent a feedback. I usually don't post on these platforms unless I absolutely can't find a solution anywhere else. Where can I leave a feedback? Google?
