Please help! Has anyone found a solution to remove yourself from group messages? I have a 24 Plus. I've used both Samsung and Google messaging and there is no option to remove myself from the chats. I remember having the option on an older phone years ago. I've deleted and muted the chat and it's annoying to still see the messages coming through.

Any help to completely remove myself from group chats would be greatly appreciated.

You CAN leave a group in Google Messages, but CAN NOT in Samsung Messages.

Open Google Messages
Open the group chat
Tap More (three vertical dots in upper right)
Tap Group details
Tap Leave group.

The best that you can do in Samsung Messages is to silence the group notifications.

I know how to do it, but the option is just not there.

As far as I know. This changes based on what platform the chat was originated.

Here is a guide:

Thank you! That makes sense that it depends on the platform the chat was originated from. I don't believe the person has RCS messaging which is why the option to leave the group chat doesn't show even in Google Messages. I can see the option in other group chats except the one I want to leave! Thanks again.

Always. Glad I helped. I learned this from experience. My sister is on iOS and added me to a chat. No option to leave.

But if they remove you you can leave. Just a heads up.
