Security Patch Level Update

Just received the security patch level update dated for 03/01/2025.  In US and have T-Mobile.  

The most recent Android security patch level is a critical update and is dated for 03/05/2025.  

I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra.  Why wouldn't Samsung release the 3/05 update instead of the 3/01? My email policy requires the 3/5 release because of the vulnerabilities addressed in that release.  Is another one coming?

I'm on AT&T and just got the March 1 patch this morning too.

Didn't know there was a March 5 patch. Had to look that up.

Samsung gets them after Google issues it. It may be a while before Samsung gets the March 5 patch out - if ever.

Since they plan to release the One UI 7/Android 15 update next month, they just might skip the second March update. Unless they feel the new patch is important enough.

The 5th update includes everything on the 1st update not sure why there's 2 but the patches all seem to be the 1st

They aren't, unfortunately. Two major issues are patched in the 5th update but not the 1st update.
