Samsung messages doesn't offer RCS chat

Does anybody know why the Samsung messages on my s24+ doesn't have the new RCS chat I even try looking it up on my galaxy store to see if the app may need to be updated but it no longer pops up on the galaxy store when searched and isn't on my apps library in the galaxy store but my partner recently just got the Samsung s25 and we downloaded the Samsung messages app from the galaxy store and it has RCS chat on his app

Oh ok i appreciate your input on it i did have a rocky experience with Google messages years ago so id like to hope that now and day's it's been upgraded and functioning way better with improvements

Samsung messages with the RCS function is only available on the S25. Samsung is phasing messages out, and this was a consession to some outcry.

Oh ok so basically in order to have Samsung messages with the RCS chat features you'd have to own the s25

And, I think T-Mobile as a carrier. I had heard that since RCS is a carrier supported feature only one or two carriers are allowing it through Samsung messages. All are allowing it through Google messages

Yeah I am wondering which carriers that is i currently have at&t

You would have to ask them. No sense buying the s25, unless you really want it, if it's not going to work on your carrier.

You mentioned that your partner has the version with RCS. Do they have the same carrier and is the RCS working?

The thing is he bought a brand new unlocked Samsung s25 phone from best buy but using his AT&T sim on it cause his phone he had got from AT&T had broke so idk if his s25 being an unlocked phone means anything or not cause we oth always use Samsung messages over Google messages so when I seen his Samsung messages app had the RCS chat and mine didn't made me wonder why

RCS for Samsung Messages is supported on my S24 FE 5G as well.
