Samsung keyboard layout change

Although my Galaxy s24 plus was just updated to version: S926USQU4BYD9, this issue showed up just prior to the update.

All of a sudden my Samsung keyboard change the comma key, on the left of the space bar, to the @ sign. I don't know about anyone else, but to change the comma as a secondary character on an alphabetic key is much more trouble than it's worth because I use the comma much more than I use the @ sign. Also, with the complexity of the Android system, it's very difficult, if at all possible, to determine where to go to change the keyboard back so you can use what you're accustomed to.

Samsung, if you're going to change things like this then at least make it customizable so people can utilize what they're accustomed to using.

Your previous post did the trick. Although, I shouldn't have had to ask for the information. Applications are becoming better at pointing out changes with information bubbles. Sounds like a great way to inform users of ALL unpublished changes m

I think the poster means this screen and layout effect it generates on the keyboard. The user should toggle them on if that style is preferred.

When I toggle the comma button the @ sign disappears and the alternate symbol button expands. But, the, button does not appear.

@GVoice4Life After you enable it, press and hold on the key and select the comma. That key will always show the last item that you use.

That's good to know. That, out of all the suggestions I've received from here and from the Developers actually worked. It sure would be nice if they gave an orientation to the items they were changing.

I also have a layout issue, but with the pop-up alternative characters on the letter N.

Back on my S10e, when I longpressed the N, the Ñ would be the first character, meaning it would be pre-selected, once the pop-up came up.

Now, on my S24, there are more to choose from, and N̈ is first.

That doesn't make any sense. Ñ is a far more widely used character. Who even uses N̈?

Changes like these are unnessesary. You also wouldn't just switch around A and S, would you? It gives me the feeling, devs don't think or the're bored and want to make sure we don't get bored as well, so they let us get used to new things now and then. Well, newsflash, I got enough going on in life. The last thing I need, is to reconfigure my brain to the new, not logical layout.

Please, fix this!! And/or give the ability to choose the layout of the pop-up characters or at least choose which one is first.

It's very bad what Samsung did, changed the format of my cellphone. I would like my old format back, please. Thanks
