Galaxy S24After the recent One UI 7.0 update, the fingerprint scanner on my Galaxy S24 Ultra appears noticeably slower when unlocking the device. The process seems to follow this sequence:
Touch the screen → Brief black screen → Unlock animation
This entire sequence takes approximately 2 seconds to complete. Considering that many budget smartphones can perform this action almost instantly, it's disappointing to see such a delay on a flagship device. I hope this can be addressed in a future update.

Galaxy S24Go to settings and apps. Then where it says your apps tap the 3 lines and toggle on show system apps, type in the search box Biometrics, go to storage and clear cache.

Galaxy S24Thanks for the quick response! I did try this step and it probably gave a very minor improvement i feel, may be 20% better, but still i feel its very slow. Just to add, i do have a screen protector, but it was much faster before One UI 7.0

Galaxy S24I did try this already, cleared all fingerprints and re-registered, but didn't notice a difference.

Galaxy S24This one seems to have made the biggest improvement in the fingerprint unlock speed!! I had seen this somewhere but with the initial steps I was not able to get into recovery mode, so just didn't research further.
Before step 2) I had to use a USB-C cable to connect my phone to another device, else it was not going to recovery mode.
By the way - here are the steps which I tried till now, just in case someone has a similar issue -
1. Re-added all fingerprints - No affect
2. Tried turning off fingerprint unlock animation - No affect
3. Turned off - "Show unlock transition affect" under "Lock screen and AOD" settings - A minor perceived improvement
4. Biometrics App, Cache clearing (Show System Apps to be enabled to see Biometrics App) - Minor improvement
5. Enabled 'Touch sensitivity' (Under Display settings) as I am using a screen protector - No affect
6. A weird one - Move away any App icon which is on exact location or overlapping with the fingerprint scanner - No affect
6. Clear device cache partition - Significant Improvement, almost back to normal
Thanks everyone for the quick responses & suggestions!! Amazing community!!
