Hello, last night my 45W charger randomly decided that it is not working. I would plug in the phone and the charger would blink back and forth between slow charging and fast charging and slowly draining my battery. I read a few reddit post and reset the cache on a few different apps, booted the phone into safe mode, etc. Ive only gotten to work now with a friend's 2 port fast charger. I dont know if it's software or mechanical failure and if I could send the charger to Samsung and get a replacement as it is working as unintended?

Try a different cable? Try to use the cable that worked with your friends charger.

If everything works it's the charger not the cables or the phone by the looks of it. If it is serialized and your region you should have a warranty. If it's not from your region then you have to purchase a new one.

Every time I've had a problem like that, it was caused by a faulty USB cable. I've even had it say it was charging even though the phone was slowly discharging.

I bought a new official Samsung charger and took the new cord and plugged it into the old block and it's still doing the same thing. I think that charging block is toast.

I have s24 its only a year old , I keep the port covered and even just recently cleaned it yet my phone is also going back and forth from slow to fast. It'll say 1 hr till full and then go to 3 sometimes 4 hrs till till. I've switched cords and bases and nothing. This happened 2 months ago and I cleared usb settings cache and it fixed it but it's doing it again and this time clearing the cache isn't working. It seems like its software issue. At least I hope it is
