Repeated wifi calling alert

I have an S24.  I do NOT want to use wifi calling.  However, I keep getting an alert icon reminding me to turn on wifi calling.  The icon is similar to the "missed call" icon.  I clear the notification, but it returns a short time later.

I have looked for solutions and NONE of them work.  For starters, the toggle for turning off notifications is greyed out for Wifi Calling and for Phone Service (which is the heading used for the notification).  I have both set to "Silent".  Doesn't help.

I have enabled wifi calling, then disabled it.  Notification returns.  I have set app preferences to "Mobile Network Only". Doesn't help.  The workarounds for the S10, S21, and S23 do not work.

This is very annoying.  Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have an app that is wanting to connect your phone to Wi-Fi calling. Probably the texting app that you are using has a Wi-Fi calling feature.

Who is  your carrier and do you have a locked phone? You actually should keep wi-fi calling on, as it is protection against a bad cell signal and overloaded cell towers.  It does not use any battery power just hanging out, not being used. It doesn't cost anything and it will keep you from getting notifications that are annoying you.  Your calls will still come through and go through, sometimes even with better reception.
