Phone Crashing

The past couple days, every time I use Google maps my phone will freeze and has a pop-up message "System UI not responding". 

The funnel then go black, and takes a minute to become functional again. But it resets my wallpaper back to default as well. 

Anybody else having this problem?

Been having the problem since the 6.0 update and know with 7.0 . Yesterday phone crashed 4 times wipping the cache partition doesn't work neither.

Try clearing the "system UI" cache in apps

1. Open device Settings 
2. Find Apps
3. In the app list, click the three-dot menu at the top right corner.
4. Tap the Show system apps option.
5. Now, look for the app labeled System UI.In the App info screen
6. look for the Storage option.Tap on it and tap the Clear cache option to clear the system cache.

ALSO, Clear google Play services cache

1. Open device Settings
2. Find and tap the Google Play Services app.
3. Tap Storage 
4. Tap Clear cache to clear the cache of Google Play Services.

Try clearing the wallpaper app data

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Apps
3. Tap the "three lines icon" and enable show system apps
4. Locate wallpapers & Styles or any variation that points toward the built-in service that deals with wallpapers. (Should be two wallpaper apps)
5. Open it and select Storage.
6. Clear data and restart your device
